Clark Color ® or Clark Color Labs ® is an online photo printing company that allows customers to be able to store photos online for sharing.  They promote additional services for prints and photo gifts.  The company is a mail order subsidiary of District Photo ®, but the company is based out of Hampton Park, Maryland and promotes its services through the website, clarkcolor.com.

Service Description 

Clark Color ® offers its customers two ways to get their photos online.  One way is to mail them your rolls of film and they will upload them to your account.  The other way is to upload them yourself from your digital camera from which you have a number of easy ways to do so.  Once your photos are online, you can get high-quality developing and prints at low prices and/or get various photo products made.  In addition, they company offers film and cameras to its customers.   

The prints pricing format for online prints offers low prices for 4x6 versions.  These cost only 8 cents each.  They also have pricing options for 5x7, and wallet sets that go for 79 and 99 cents respectively.  They also have 8x10 sizes that go for $2.99 each.  The prints pricing format for traditional film varies based on the number of prints ordered with slightly lower pricing for more volume.  For example, for 4x6 prints it costs 30 cents for 1-9 prints and 25 cents for 10+ prints.   

They also promote a number of personalized gifts that can include books, calendars, posters, mugs, stationary, stickers, flip books, square key ring, photo panels, mouse pads, commuter mug, photo stamps, golf towels, neck ties, playing cards, tote bags, college blankets, aprons, serving trays, greeting cards, pillow sham, cutting board, charm bracelet, key ring, Photo skins for laptops and ipods, desk organizer, frosted stein, clothes apparel like boxers, shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, Puzzle photo, pillowcase, magnets, and coasters.  These vary in price depending on the item, but are consistent with the regular prices of the industry which are very reasonable.

Personal Review 

ClarkColor Labs® is most well know for its low pricing and surprisingly good quality pictures.  Most customers appear to be satisfied with delivery times although there are a few customers that have reported having some problems, especially because the company can only be reached through email.  Their online sharing system is the same one used by Snapfish®.  This system is very user-friendly to customers and so no one should have any difficulty with it.  Another nice feature is the company is one of the few that still develops film for customers using traditional cameras.  This is nice as it allows customers more flexibility in getting pictures online.  Overall, I have come away impressed with their low cost service and feel comfortable recommending it to others based on the large number of strong customer reviews.
