Product Description
Trusted ID®
offers over a dozen theft protection solutions to its customers.
Its three most popular are IDFreeze®, CreditLock™, and Data Breach Response Services™.
IDFreeze® is the main part of
their services and it offers a number of common identity theft protection services including fraud alerts,
public database scanning for your private information, free credit reports, and on call protection
specialists. It also goes beyond credit reporting by looking for
social security and name and address information in the public databases.
CreditLock™ this service allows
you to lock your credit and only make it available to third parties when you so desire. One example could be to open it up when looking at buying a
home. This service helps deter fraud from occurring in the first
place.
Data Breach Response Services™
works to help minimize any possible identity theft that occurs by working with other government agencies and
institutions to render this public information valueless and help clear up your good name.
Benefits
- Good group of identity theft practices to help provide a solid
protection to customers.
- Established company in this relatively new field.
Drawbacks
- No set fee, you have to request a fee quote. This is against the norm in this field.
- No distinct advantage to using this service over
competitors.
Customer Comments
Personal Review
I believe, TrustedID® to be a solid company that offers a good basic
service. I like their cross section of protections they
offer. However, it has no unique features that distinguish it
from any of the other more proven competitors in this field and, I am troubled by a service that requires a
fee quote. This makes me feel like they are hiding their price
information and that it could be subject to change. Therefore, I
do not recommend Trusted ID® services. However, if you would like to see the company’s website, you can at
www.trustedid.com.
