Product Description 

Identity Truth® tries to distance its product from other competitors by putting an emphasis on more than credit based protection and look at protecting other pieces of identity information.  Their service offers a unique personal dashboard apprising you of any possible situations of fraud.  This Identity Health Score® allows you to see your current level and potential risk to fraud.  Additionally, they offer you an advanced notice of possible areas for fraud and give breach alerts advising you of potential risks.  This is done through a fraud probability score® that purports to let people know how likely in fraud or breach alert is truly fraud.   

They also do more “traditional” identity theft protection by monitoring credit reports and offering a free credit report.  In addition, the monitor databases where thieves trade and sell personal information and remove you from junk mail lists to reduce the risk thieves getting your personal information from preapproved credit cards and such. 

Their service has three different payment options: a monthly, yearly, or 3 year plan.   

Benefits 

• Company has an emphasis on providing broader level protection than some companies extending it beyond credit related protection. 
• Prices for service are on par with other companies. 

Drawbacks

• Too early to make any determinations on the value of services like a fraud probability score® or identity health score®. 
• Newer company that is struggling to gain market share from more entrenched competitors in the industry. 
• Service is actually similar to other competitors in the field.

Personal Review

IdentityTruth® should be a good company to monitor to see if its proposed services are seen as true value from customers. There are currently companies that offer services beyond credit reporting and, it is also unclear exactly how much value is gained from those services. Therefore, we cannot really recommend this product at this time until we get a better sense of the value of its offerings. However, you can visit their site at www.identitytruth.com.
